today was an "emo" day as some would call it.
i don't like that word being used on me cos i'm not.
gosh.
but whatevs cos the brain is yours, so think whatever you wanna.
(if it was ever that easy for me, not caring about what others felt/thought.)
went for ben seow's gig thing
what last friday was for.
forgot the band name. sorry. hha.
coming from a third party with nothing against or for them, i felt it wasn't good.
vocals.
not that they couldn't sing, but the tones of their voices wasn't working for me.
ben was surprisingly pitchy, not as if i've heard him before, but i thought he was worse than me (the pitch thing lah. i'm really so bad at it). hahah.
again, this being an OPINION.
EQ.
omg it was bad.
everything wasn't good.
except for the bass(:
that was fine.
but all others-fail.
esp the acoustic guitar and second worst being the keyboard.
again, nothing to do with the musicians.
and it all sounded so SHARP.
like omg my ears were really hurting i had to wear earplugs to hear clearly without pain.
(maybe smth's wrong with my ears. damn.)
LOUDNESS.

everyone else's volume has to be pushed up cos he's too loud.
after thie gig i'm so much more convinced that daniel's gonna be the best drummer the youth band has ever had.
he's so much better than seth.
no offence to anyone btw.
SONGS.
really liked the lyrics.
thought they were nice.
but the way (almost) all their songs started (with a loud bang. literally.) didn't like it. i mean. 1 or 2 is okay. but not like so many.
didn't like the tunes-all were forgettable, no hook of any kind. like i don't remember any original song now. the only ones i remember are only hope by switchfoot which i thought was quite badly done and blind by lifehouse and by DANIEL LEE(: ahha. that was refreshing.
actually.
i've got lots to say.
but oh well.
nevermind.
liked what seth wore today though.
and his hair seemed quite fine tonight.
anw. he wore this black vest and black skinnys(i think) and a white shitr with big black words..don't know what the words were. but it was nice. reminded me of those brit bands. like THE BEATLES. OMG. hha.
yeah and FRANZ FERDINAND.
esp when he did the head thing.
like look left on the first beat, then right on the 2nd, then left on the 3rd, and right on the 4th. lik omg. so funny. hahah. like the Franz Ferdinand band. hahaha. reminds me of the song Take Me Out. hhahah.
