GINAF-

tired.

saturday
went to a "supposed to have" rehearsal.
saw ONLY ben chew AND his effects.
no. it's saw ben chew and HIS EFFECTS.
omgosh okay.
i got a shock cos i thought i was gonna bring all of that to the esplanade later.
haha.
anw.
we didn't have the rehearsal in the end cos only me and him were there and asher was like so much later.
joel called at 12:08 and he was still at home-.-
so we went for the thing at chapel at 1230 (ps kelly talking about tabernacle and stuff for 2 hours plus)
oh. that was after i took a tour of his effects, like 1 by one. and apparently, there are others at home. i was like :O. haha.
so it was 2:34 or later when we were released (UPON ASKING) for lunch-we being me, joel and ben. cos all 3 of us didn't have breakfast. so. duh we were starving. we were already during the "meeting". i kept rubbing my stomach cos it kept rumbling. we had chicken rice in record time man. haha. rushed back and set up and stuff.
ooh joel played his new bass! (:(:
woohoo.
it looked good man. all new and all. we were all so tempted to whack it man. haha.
we played songs we've never heard of and never rehearsed. like manymany. all of us were so tired already. but i thought we sounded tight considering we had no rehearsal. butbutbut like joel said. smth just wasn't right about the sound. like smth missing amidst the noise.
but they're seriously THE people to play with. whao. everyone just accomodates each other. i really liked it.
sadly, i've also discovered that an acoustic is usually NOT required in songs unless they are acoustic songs (duh.) but it's sad to know that i'm not needed for most songs):
maybe i really should switch to electric. that'll mean real proper lessons man.
ayes.

anw. loitered around cos there was still drum auditions.
then . the esplanade(:(:
wow.(:
haha.

we took 36 there. and joel and ben looked like 2 idiots who have never taken the bus before or smth. haha. that was quite funny. with the whole bus (well, almost. except for the guy watching stuff from his iphone. haha.) watching ben pay the bus fare using coins. he was like,"huh? how much? more? (throws coins in) some more? (throws some more-.-)" haha. bus was REALLY packed. and i brought mr. mac out. damn i should have left him at home. why on earth did i bring him along man..so much of a hassle. urgh. i was so afraid i would drop him, esp in the bus.

so we were there.
(:(:(:

then i started complaining about how hungry i was again.
but we couldn't eat. bleahs.
i tahan-ed until like 9 plus okay!
it was 6 plus when we reached.

LEE RITENOUR AND SOME FRIENDS.
wow.
and SOME FRIENDS.
i think they missed smth in that line.
like maybe awesome? crazy? insane?
SOME FRIENDS.
why don't i have friends like that huh huh huh. (:
haha,

the whole time i hardly ever noticed lee. except for the times when he switched between guitars.
really loves the red gibson.
wow. it sounded nicee.
shweet. (:

i love.love.love. MELVIN DAVIS (bassist)
and. WILL KENNEDY.

wow. awesome.
so like google or youtube their names or smth. they're good.
nono.
they're GOOOOODD.

oh. real treat for me cos KURT ELLING was in the house
yeah man. he sang like 3 songs including encore. all more about 10min plus.
wow. his voice is good.
we were all fascinated by his singing and range and expression and stuff, esp ben, who kept mimicking him after the show. how he reached high notes and everything. haha. it was funny..haha.
OH. there was one part during the concert where he sang his 2nd song (i think) and he held this really high note for quite long, and ben was like OH MY GOSH! wth. hahaha. he kept making funny comments like when he was singing along the funk tune which was being played, and he sang smth like "...i love the funk..." and he kept repeating it and other things about funk. but it sounded like smth else, and ben chew kindly pointed that out. (: haha.

not saying that lee nor the keyboardist weren't. they were awesome too. it's just that the bassist and drummer really worked for me.

joel's standard expression was :O
asher's was the constant nodding and shaking of his head (a little distracting for someone like me with peripheral vision, haha)
ben's was the most subtle. mostly just looking, changing his sitting position, and occasionally giving the :O look. haha. but joel's face constantly had that look on his face. HAHA. and he would turn back occasionally to look at see whoever caught his eye and then laugh and give the omg look. haha.

well. after that we loitered around for a little, and finally crossed over to marina square to....EEEAAAATTTT!!!! WHOOHOO.
hahahaa. @ carl's junior(: yummee.

damn i wanted to post about today too.
but ohwell. too long huh.

okay briefly.
prayed for one hour.
hall 10 packed to the MAX.
real problem getting out.
BIG problem.
had long lunch with keshia.
random guy said hello to me in my ear and when i turned back he looked and gave me THE smile. the chikopek smile.
ayes.
was on the bus that skidded.
nope.
didn't die.
